Ear Clear for Ear Wax Removal can assist in the softening and removal of ear wax. Ear Clear contains carbamide peroxide so it not only softens but also fragments and disperses the wax. This may reduce the need for ear syringing. Ear Clear for Ear Wax Removal is the only product for ear wax in Australia that contains carbamide peroxide.

Clinical trials show that carbamide peroxide is more effective than competitor products in its ability to disperse as well as to soften ear wax. In a multicentre study, a carbamide peroxide product “was found to be significantly superior to both glycerol and Cerumol when assessed by its ability to disperse the wax completely, or to facilitate syringing.” In laboratory studies conducted overseas and in Australia products containing carbamide peroxide outperformed both Cerumol and Waxsol in dispersing ear wax.

Warning: Do not use if eardrum is perforated or discharge is present. Do not use if there is pain or dizziness, or if ear surgery has been performed within the past 6 weeks. Not recommended for treatment of pain of raw inflamed tissue, swimmer’s ear or itching of the ear canal. Use in children under 12 years only on the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
