- Bacopa monnieri (Bacopa) whole plant extract

Directions for use
Adults:
Take 1 tablet twice daily or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Warnings

- Some products should be ceased at least two weeks before any elective surgery, please confirm with your health professional.
- Prescribing Information:
- Avoid using in pregnancy and lactation.
- Caution should be exercised when prescribing Ginkgo biloba with anticoagulants or other antiplatelet medications due to a theoretical risk of increased bleeding. Suspected increased bleeding potential has been reported after chronic use (six months to two years).
- Consumption of ginkgo seeds can cause seizures due to ginkgotoxin contained in the seeds.
- Theoretically, taking serotonergic antidepressants with ginkgo might decrease their efficacy.
- Ginkgo leaf extract seems to alter insulin secretion and metabolism, and might affect blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes. The effect of ginkgo seems to differ depending on the insulin and treatment status of the patient.
- Ginkgo may affect various cytochrome P450 enzymes, therefore affecting medications metabolised by these enzymes.
