This cream is formulated as a 'skin friendly' alternative to the common Sorbolene and 'aqueous'creams. These products are based on petrochemicals - mineral oil, paraffin and petroleum jelly - along with strong synthetic emulsifiers and preservatives. They are a poor base for preparations, being neither skin-compatible nor offering any regenerative benefits for the skin. Essential Base Cream is a general purpose base cream and is an excellent carrier base for all types of topical applications. Essential Base Cream is very versatile.
