Astragalus has been traditionally used in Chinese medicine for the management of upper respiratory tract infections by enhancing immunity. Zinc and vitamin D also help to maintain and support healthy immune function. Zinc is essential for normal development and function of neutrophils and natural killer cells, as well as affecting the development of acquired immunity and T-lymphocyte function. Vitamin D may enhance the first line of defence against invading microorganisms via up-regulation of innate immunity. Vitamin C may help to reduce the severity of upper respiratory tract infections. Eyebright has been traditionally used in Western herbal medicine for catarrh of the ear, nose and throat as well as relief of runny noses and nasal congestion. Saponins in liquorice root may assist catarrhal conditions by decreasing the viscosity of mucous and exerting an expectorant effect, assisting the relief of bronchial congestion.

Directions for use
Cildren 2-4 years: Mix 1/2 scoop (1.8g) into 50ml of water. Children 5-12 years: Mix 1 scoop (3.6g) into 100ml of water. To assist healthy immune function: Take once daily. To reduce severity and duration of colds: Take twice daily. Store below 30°C.
