Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCFM®) is a highly researched acidophilus strain, showing benefits for patients experiencing digestive discomfort. SB is understood to support healthy GI function and has been shown to increase short chain fatty acid production. NCFM® is also able to maintain beneficial intestinal flora to help restore GI wellbeing. Bifidobacterium animalis ssp lactis (HN019™) demonstrates a decrease in gut transit time and a reduction in the frequenc of functional GI symptoms. SB's effects have been shown to be dose dependent, where 5 billion CFU (250mg) of SB may be used to maintain gut health by preventing pathogenic attachment to intestinal receptors. Lactobacillus rhamnosus (HN001™) is a well-researched probiotic with a wide body of evidence for immune wellbeing. HN019™ has been shown to help improve the body's defence against infection through strengthening immune function and specific immune cell activity (phagocytes and natural killer cells).
